Myuna & Mandalong: Save our jobs

Hundreds of jobs and NSW’s energy security are at risk if there is no action to ensure continuing supply of local coal to Eraring Power Station.

At least 600 and up to 1000 direct jobs are at risk across two mines, Myuna mine and Mandalong mine unless a coal supply contract for Eraring is urgently secured, with existing contracts expiring at the end of June.

Origin’s Eraring Power Station must be required to source coal from its captured coal mines Myuna and Mandalong as part of any government deal to extend its operation beyond August 2025.

Sign our letter calling on the Minns State Government (with the support of the Albanese Federal Government) to ensure that any assistance provided to Origin to keep Eraring Power Station open beyond the announced closure date, must include contracts with Centennial to supply coal from Myuna and Mandalong as long as the Power Station operates.
