That is about $25 million more in the pockets of mineworkers and their families, being spent in our mining communities.
Peter Dutton and the big mining companies plan to reverse Same Job Same Pay if they win the next election.
- The LNP voted against Same Job Same Pay laws in Parliament.
- Shadow Finance Minister Jane Hume has said that Same Job Same Pay is in the LNP’s sights if reelected.
- Shadow Workplace Relations Minister Michaelia Cash has said that Labor’s pro-worker reforms would be overturned under a Dutton Government, and as Same Job Same Pay passed promised that the coalition would ‘always stand with the employers of Australia’.
Reversing Same Job Same Pay is a top priority for the big mining companies, and Peter Dutton has proclaimed to the bosses they will be ‘the best friend you ever had.’
