The Albanese Labor Government has introduced a wide range of reforms to lift wages, make workplaces safer, make jobs more secure and assist with cost of living.
Peter Dutton and the Coalition have made it clear that if they return to power this election, nothing is safe from the chopping block.

Defend a Fair Go For All
The Albanese Government has introduced new laws to create safer workplaces – including creating a criminal charge for industrial manslaughter and improving workplace access for unions.
They have increased job security – ending sham contracting and increasing rights for casuals, and preventing fixed-term contracts from being renewed indefinitely, meaning it’s easier to get a secure job.
And they’ve introduced Same Job Same Pay to stop big business using labour hire as a tool to undercut wages.
Cost of Living Relief
The Albanese Government has reworked the Stage Three tax cuts to ensure every taxpayer gets relief, rather than just the top few income earners.
Workers are also benefiting from the national Energy Bill Relief scheme, the Housing Australia Future Fund and hundreds of thousands of fee-free TAFE places.
Supporting Families
The Albanese Government has also:
- Introduced two weeks extra paid parental leave
- Created stronger rights for flexible work for parents and carers
- Introduced three days of fully subsidised childcare a week for families earning less than $530,000 a year, while increasing the pay of childcare workers
- Opened 87 Medicare urgent care clinics.
A Fair Go for All
Australia’s Coal Industry
Coordinated Support for Power Station Workers
Delegates’ Rights
Fair Bargaining
Nuclear Power
Same Job Same Pay
Make no mistake – Peter Dutton and his mates in the big mining companies will take these rights away.
We can’t afford to risk that.
