Our Unite organisers are spread far and wide across Australia, engaging with workers at remote sites and building our Union.
Getting them together for talks and training doesn’t happen every day, but by pooling their knowledge and learning from each other’s experience they are reinforcing the base of our strength as a Union.
MEU podcast producer Tim Brunero took advantage of the opportunity to chat with them about the job and what it takes to be an organiser in our unique and challenging industry.
They traded tips on how to engage with mining and energy workers about their workplace rights, shared some of their highlights of 2023 and explored the common concerns of workers from the Illawarra to the Pilbara.
