The Western Australian District represents coal mineworkers and power station operators; as well as iron ore train drivers.
We work daily to keep our members safe and help them get better pay, rights, and working conditions.
We represent iron ore mineworkers in the Pilbara through the Western Mine Workers Alliance.
What we do
Our members organise through the Union to improve pay and conditions. Union-negotiated terms of employment backed by high membership ensure higher pay and better conditions in our industry. Our network of Delegates, Officials and Legal officers protects these workplace rights.
We have a first-class Legal team who provides members with free legal assistance on individual issues such as unfair dismissals and workplace disputes.
